The 51 regulator adaptor is designed to adapt a commercial acetylene regulator with CGA 300 to a POL acetylene tank with CGA 510. CGA 510 is also the same fitting that is on LP or propane tanks, so sometimes this fitting is required when switching from acetylene to propane.
